About Us
The mission of Metis Health is to create innovative solutions that harmonize healthcare and technology, promote patient safety, and generate value for our customers.
Our team draws experience from various aspects of healthcare, from hospital administration to industry to academia. Our software was born after going through countless Joint Commission surveys where hospitals were cited for having expired medications and supplies in their code carts and kits. This is a major vulnerability for all hospitals that do not have a technology safety system in their workflow.
Paper documentation lacks safety double checks, is extremely difficult and tedious to go through, and lacks 100% transparency of what and where your inventory is throughout your hospital. RFID technology is a prohibitively expensive solution, especially for larger hospitals that require more inventory. In addition, proper code cart management requires coordination between multiple departments: pharmacy, supply chain, and nursing. Metis seeks to fill this gap with our cloud-based multidisciplinary software platform.

Clinical Informatics Pharmacist at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and former Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. David deployed the alpha version of Metis after seeing firsthand how paper documentation failed hospitals in Joint Commission surveys.

Co-founder and COO of Metis Health, and a Director of Regulatory Affairs, Oncology at AstraZeneca. PharmD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with fellowship training in global regulatory affairs.
Chief Technology Officer
Leads product development and cloud architecture at Metis Health. A University of Maryland Computer Science graduate with research experience at NIH, he builds Metis as a full-stack developer on AWS.
Full Stack Engineer
Lead developer at Metis, focused on software development and quality control. A Computer Science and Finance double major at the University of Maryland, College Park, previously at GL Communications.
